Pat Bradford is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BS and BA, Teaching in Communications and Communications Arts. She began her local entrepreneurial career as a Real Estate Broker, maintaining overall top producer status within a three-office real estate firm for many years in the late ‘90s. She has served as senior editor and journalist of Wrightsville Beach Magazine<\/I> and The Lumina News<\/I> since their inception. She took over the duties of publisher and CEO of the company in June 2003. <\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>\n

Lumina News<\/EM> Managing Editor Marimar McNaughton is the Homes Editor and regular contributor for our sister publication, Wrightsville Beach Magazine<\/I>. She is the recipient of several awards from the Southeastern Advertisers Publishing Association for original feature writing and the recipient of the Willie Parker Peace Award from the North Carolina Society of Historians for her recently released book, “Columbia on the Scuppernong,” Sweet Bay Tree Books, 2008. She is also the author of “Outer Banks Architecture,” John F. Blair Publishers, 2000 and editor and project manager for “Outer Banks Recipes from the Blue Point Bar & Grill.” In her spare time, Marimar volunteers for WHQR 91.3 Public Radio and teaches creative drama.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>\n

Jenny is a North Carolina native. She grew up in the Apex\/Raleigh area but has always loved the Carolina coast. She graduated in 2008 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a BFA in Creative Writing. Jenny enjoys being outside, growing fresh herbs, veggies and fruits and cooking with them. She also likes swingin<\/I>g in her hammock, running, playing the guitar, traveling and dancing with friends. <\/FONT><\/P><\/FONT><\/A><\/TD><\/TR>\n

Originally from Currituck<\/st1:PlaceName> County<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>, director of photography Allison Breiner joined the Wrightsville Beach Magazine<\/I> and Lumina News<\/I> staff in July 2003. She began her career at The Daily Advance<\/I> in Elizabeth<\/st1:PlaceName> City<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place> after earning a bachelor of fine arts in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design in 1996. After more than five years of working in California<\/st1:State> for a commercial photographer in Sacramento<\/st1:City> and then The Desert Sun <\/I>newspaper in Palm Springs<\/st1:City>, she’s happy to call Wilmington<\/st1:City><\/st1:place> home. <\/FONT><\/P>\n

Joshua is a professional photographer shooting people, places and things. A native of Wrightsville<\/st1:PlaceName> Beach<\/st1:PlaceType>, Joshua decided to return to North Carolina<\/st1:State> with his wife Karla to plant some roots, after living in San Diego<\/st1:City> and Santa Barbara<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. He worked with many photographers while attending the Brooks Institute of Photography, where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Advertising. Joshua enjoys fishing offshore and in the creeks throughout the area, and can also be found riding waves when the conditions come together.<\/FONT> <\/FONT> <\/SPAN><\/P>\n

Cissy has been a graphic designer for over 25 years. Before joining WBM\/Lumina News<\/I> in May 2005, she spent 10 years doing print and web design for national conservation organizations such as Defenders of Wildlife and the National Wildlife Refuge Association. Although her childhood was spent roaming the U.S. from military base to military base, her family has deep roots in Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington, where she is happy to finally have put down roots of her own. She has a 22-year-old daughter living in Chapel Hill and a large library of books, which she re-reads constantly.<\/FONT><\/P><\/SPAN><\/TD><\/TR><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/TBODY><\/TABLE><\/B><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>\n

Jill joined Workin4U, Inc. in February of 2003. She often says “the wind blew us here.” <\/SPAN>Shortly after 9\/11, she and her husband Ron decided they didn’t need to live in Central PA, so they opened the map and looked at every beach community from New Jersey<\/st1:State> to South Carolina<\/st1:State><\/st1:place>. Wilmington<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> offered exactly what they were looking for: the beach, the University and Historic Downtown. The name of their boat reflects Jill and Ron’s philosophy: Life’s Too Short.<\/I><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>\n
